Rebecca "Becky" Abernathy

She is mourned by her husband, Cory Abernathy; her children, Ashley Sturzl and Bryan Abernathy; granddaughter, Madison Sauer; parents, Gilbert and Patricia (Brewer) Fox; brother and sister-in-law, David and Jocelyn Dunham; nephews, Weston and Samuel Dunham; grandmother, Jessonda Fox; aunt, Janelle Sterry; parents-in-law, Wes and Sandi Churchill and Bill and Ellen Abernathy; and brothers-in-law, Ryan and Alex Abernathy.

Her grandparents, Herman and Ellen West and Dr. A. Albert Fox, predeceased her.

Rebecca is remembered for the unconditional love and devotion she bestowed on her family and friends. Her caring nature caused her to reach out and be a source of help and comfort to the disabled, the elderly, and the less fortunate. Despite years of physical challenges, she kept a positive attitude and a selfless devotion to others.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home on North Lamar. Funeral services will be held in the Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 followed by a private family burial.
