Ralph Willis Sherman Ralph Willis Sherman, age 79, of Austin, Tex., formerly of Moorefield, W.V., passes this life on May 16, 2005, at The Heart Hospital in Austin, Tex. He was born in Moorefield, W.V., on August 19, 1925. Mr. Sherman was the son of the late George Willis Sherman and Eda Fitzwater Sherman and was preceded in death by one brother. He is survived by four sisters, Mary Frances Groves of Petersburg, W.V., Hazel Miller of Baltimore, Md., Alice Godlove of Winchester, Va., Betty Ours of Arlington, Va., and several nieces and nephews. Ralph was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Tannery Chapel. He was a graduate of West Virginia University and Columbia University in New York where he obtained his Masters Degree. He was a WWII Veteran having served in the U.S. Army and was employed for over 31 years in the Government Affairs Office of the Arabian American Oil Company in Saudi Arabia. He was a member of the Moorefield Masonic Lodge for over 50 years. A Funeral Service was conducted Saturday, May 21, 2005, 3:00 p.m. at the Moorefield Presbyterian Church with Reverend Catherine Jackson officiating. Burial followed at the Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield, West Virginia. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2005 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel, Austin, Texas. Memorial donations may be made to Presbyterian Church Tannery Chapel.
