Phyllis Dorothy Rowlett

Phyllis Dorothy Jeurgens Rowlett, a resident of Austin, Texas died at the age of 89 years on Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Dorothy was born on November 30, 1923 in Denver, CO. Her parents were Bernice and Francis Jeurgens. Dorothy married Walter Duane Rowlett in 1942 and became a proud Texan. As a military wife, she was used to making a home for her family wherever they were stationed. Dorothy was a Christian and member of Great Hills Baptist Church who loved the Lord and enjoyed participating in church choirs and studying the Word in Bible Study Fellowship. She is survived by her children, Edward and his wife Sharon of Highland Ranch, CO, Randell and his wife Pam of Corpus Christi, TX, Anita Hopkins and her husband Bill of Austin, TX, and Mark and his wife Kandie of Kennewick, WA as well as grandchildren Jonathan, Michael, Bryan, Amy, Michelle, and Shawn and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at a quarter past one o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 28th of January 2013, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio Texas under the direction of Cook-Walden Funeral Home.
