We were saddened to hear about the loss of your father but joyous to know that he is returning to his eternal home with Our Lord.  It was amazing to see his focus on serving Christ on earth and that is most evident in his children.  If our only task is to raise our children to know, love and trust the Lord, then his mission here was accomplished. Pete was larger than life and it is inconceivable that he is gone. Underneath a gruff exterior, he had a deeply kind heart and an enormous heart for his family and for Christ. This world will miss him, but his work surely continues in the next life 

Dear Lucille, Jay, Joe and Marielle,

I know that I am but one of so the many that will miss Pete dearly. He will always be the large, wonderful personality I have in my mind. He was such a great teacher and mentor throughout the real many estate business dealings. The friendship and fondness I was blessed to develop with Peter occurred over 25 years in the Austin. Sarah and I are thinking and praying for you and your families for your loss and during this time of sadness.

It was only two days ago that I was talking about Peter with another Beta Theta Pi brother. We relived the day that Peter invited a bus load of U. of Missouri fans to his house ahead of a football game in Austin. Peter and Lucille made us feel most welcome in their home. Peter grilled the main course for our pre-game meal and made sure that nobody left thirsty or hungry.

And so it came as a big shock to hear of Peter's passing.  He was one of the actives that I most admired when I was a Zeta Phi Chapter pledge. He was always even keeled and forever fun loving.  We have lost a great man.

My thoughts and prayers are with Lucille and the Lamy family.

I was saddened to hear of Peter's passing.  He has been a good friend since our college days at the University of Missouri.  He was fun-loving his entire life and always could make me laugh.

I've been a member of St. John Neumann since the first mass at Valley View Elementary in 1984 and have been on the SJN finance council for the past 25 years. I know of no one who has done as much for SJN as Pete and Lucille. It's due to Pete's initiative and generosity that we were able to acquire the land for our beautiful campus and build the extraordinary church that we have. Pete supported most all of the ministries at SJN and was always there for the SJN Knights of Columbus when we needed financial support for our projects. Pete's passing is a great loss to the SJN family and to our community but I'm so glad that I was able to know and work with him all these years.

Lucille and Family:
We think of the many times we were present with Peter and you at SJN. The hours both of you spent assuring a beautiful dome and wonderful church in which to worship was a great gift to the SJN community. We will miss Peter's smile.I remember the opportunities to visit at length with Peter. He always had a positive outlook on the issues we discussed.His legacy will live on through you and the children. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.
