After a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease, Penny Annette Fairchild passed away in Austin, Texas on December 4, 2016, at age 55. Penny was born on September 13, 1961, in Decatur, Alabama to James Hamil Edwards and Barbara Jean Brooks. She graduated from Decatur High School, worked as an aerobics instructor, and then was a realtor.
Penny married Bill Fairchild on May 4, 1992. She was a beloved mother to her daughter Megan and son Blake, having been mainly involved in the PTA and booster clubs for her children’s activities.
A Celebration of Penny’s Life will be at 11:00 A.M., Sunday, December 18, 2016, in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
