Peggy grew up in San Antonio, TX and later moved to Austin where her two children were raised. She retired from Bank of America, formerly Bank of Austin, in 1995.
Peggy loved camping, fishing and traveling – the Texas coast was her favorite place to vacation. Her hobbies were gardening and reading. Peggy loved unconditionally, forgave easily and made friends with everyone she met. She was also a great listener and will be missed by family and friends.
Peggy is survived by her son Stuart Smith, daughter Valerie Cary and son-in-law Greg Cary along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, December 15, 2019 followed by a celebration service at 3:00pm at Weed-Corley-Fish, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704.
In lieu of flowers, Peggy was an avid animal lover so contributions to Austin Humane Society (124 W Anderson Ln, Austin, TX 78752 / austinhumanesociety.org) would be greatly appreciated.
