Margaret (Peg) Ann Damman, 81, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2016 in Austin, Texas, after a sudden illness. Born July 13, 1934, to Joseph and Monica Schulte of Mount Clemens, Michigan, Peg was a loving and nurturing mother of six children, grandmother to 13 grandchildren and great grandmother to 5. Her large family and many close friends will miss her warmth, wit, laughter and love.
Peg is preceded in passing by her husband of 54 years Jim (2011), her father Joseph Schulte, mother Monica, and brothers Tom and Irvin Schulte. Peg was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, and was generous to philanthropic organizations that supported the dignity of life, children, education and the homeless.
Peg enjoyed gardening, dancing, traveling and hosting friends and family at her home on Lake Austin. Social and Philanthropic memberships included PEO, Newcomers of Austin, Planet Austin, University of Texas Lifelong Learning. Surviving Peg are three daughters, Joan Kramer (Robert), Susan Peyton, and Sandra Shaw (Robert); three sons, Jim (Renaye), Stephen (Debra), and Mark; and a sister, Mary Krendl.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from two o'clock in the afternoon until four o'clock Sunday, the 21st of February at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd, Austin, 78752. The Recitation of the Rosary will begin at four o'clock. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at eleven o'clock in the morning, Monday, the 22nd of February, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 5455 Bee Cave Road, Austin, Texas 78746. Interment will be held at Cook-Walden Capital Parks in Pflugerville, Texas.
