Pauline "Polly" Hausmann Burton , born in Austin, TX died peacefully January 14, 2019 at the age of 93. She was the youngest of 8 children. Her husband of 62 years, Richard preceded her in death in 2007.
She leaves a son and daughter, KC Burton (Cindy) and Kathi Hardy (Percy), two grandchildren, Terry Burton and Katrina Countryman (Chris) and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandson, William Kesick.
She was a member of Daughers of the Nile and Worthy Matron of Texas Order of the Eastern Star Austin Chapter #304. She was a graduate of Austin High. Worked in the banking industry for many years and then retired from Tx Parks and Wildlife. She loved the outdoors; with her family she enjoyed boating on Lake Austin where she had her home, watersports on Lake Travis, and loved deep sea fishing in the Port Aransas area. She was a big fan of the Texas Longhorns and didn't miss watching a game and enjoyed the rival with Texas A&M. She was a wonderful devoted wife and mother. A sweet, kind and caring person who always thought of others. She was deeply loved by her children, family and friends and will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends on Sunday January 20, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks followed by a Celebration of Polly's Life at 2:00 PM in the Chapel. Interment to follow Services at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
