Paula Lynette Schneider Whitaker, formally known as “Bubbles”, 45, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2013 in Austin. She was born on November 13, 1967 in Fort Worth, Texas to Earl Henry Schneider, Sr. and Patricia Ann Green Schneider, but spent the majority of her life in Austin. Paula became a nurse in her early thirties and from day one she loved everything about it especially the bond she formed with her patients. She had a way of making everyone she met feel like family. Whether it be a patient from work, a friend of one of her daughters, or a coworker of her husband’s, she made them a part of the family from day one. Humans were not the only ones she “adopted”, all animals, especially her own, meant the world to her and were loved unconditionally.
Paula was preceded in death by her mother, grandmother, and many other loved ones.
She is survived by her loving husband, Randy Whitaker; beloved daughters, Alley Byrd and Tiffany Whitaker; father, Earl Schneider and wife, Denise; siblings, Earl Schneider II and wife, Melanie; Joseph and Harley Schneider; nephews, Dallas and Stephen Schneider; numerous other relatives; and a host of friends. She also leaves behind her four-legged kids and grandkids, KeeLee, Tuffy, Kyler, Ninja, and Monkey.
There will be a Celebration of Life Visitation from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions to be made in Paula’s memory to Austin Boxer Rescue.
We will always love you more than words could ever explain and you will never be forgotten. You are in our hearts forever.
