Mom it is five in the morning and once again I wake up thinking of you and how much I miss you.  I just want to call you and hear your sweet voice and I miss walking into your home and just seeing your face light up when I walked in.  Mom I miss you so much and you are with me every second of the day.  Please watch over me from heaven like you always always watched over me on earth.  You were the most selfless Mom.  You always put your children ahead of you till the day you died. You hated that we had to take care of you.  You were always so independent and that is the Momma I will always remember.  You are in my mind and thoughts always Mi Madre.  I LOVE YOU - Maria



I was fortunate to know Paula for the 3 1/2 years that she was on my Meals on Wheels route. I have been out of town and was not aware of her death until this week when her name was not on my list for delivery.  Paula was a lovely and kind woman.  Each time I left her, she said, "God bless you" and it made my day.  I will miss my brief visits with Paula and hold her memory in my heart.  Sympathies to all of her family.



Mom it is 5:00 am and I wake up thinking about you like I do every morning and wishing it was time to go and take care of you but then I realize that you are gone to Heaven now.  I know you are so happy where you are but I miss you Mom.  I miss calling you everyday and telling about my day and hearing you say Que Bueno Mija. How can you forget someone who you had in your life for 59 years since birth.  You always always put me first. Sometimes I wonder if I was your daughter because I was nothing like you. I am so thankful that God gave me the opportunity to take care of you even though you hated it.  I could see it in your eyes.  You despised not being the independent person you had always been.  I love you Mom and I am going to try and be the person that you were even though it will be tough because you were so selfless and giving. Look after me and all of us here on earth.  We all love you and miss you so much.  Love Mary Lou Please keep praying for us like you did when you were her with us.

Mom here I am again just like I was calling you.  I called you everyday and I miss our talks, expecially hearing you say Hi Mija.  I need you mom.  I feel so alone now that you are gone.  After Daniel died you were my rock.  I miss our talks and our laughs. You were my best friend mom, you probably did not know that did you? I can just hear you say "shut up Maria"  I definitely miss your Spunk mi viejta.  Love and kisses until tommorrow.




Mom I think about you everyday and everyday I want to share with you something.  Today I was thinking who am I going to tell when something exciting happens to me.  I always called you and you said Que Bueno Maria. Who am I going to ask to pray for me or the boys.  I always called you to pray for Jonathan before a test.  How is life going to go on for me without you Mi Viejita.  I miss you so much.  My day is not complete without calling you like I did everyday for as long as I can remember and if one day passed you would always remind me. Please watch over me and guide me like you did everyday of my life.

Dear Trevino Family,

We would like to extend our sincere condolences for the loss of your dear, sweet mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. I know you will all miss her and the love she always affectionately displayed for each of you. She was a remarkable, independent, passionate woman, who deeply loved her family. You were blessed with a very special family matriarch who left behind a beautiful, extended family that all remember her with love. Not many people achieve that in their lifetime.  We believe that Grandma Paula fulfilled all of her dreams while she was here on earth and still had time to spare! How lucky you all were to have had her with you long enough to share in the birth and growth of her many, beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildrenâ€¦who all helped complete her circle of life!  We will always be indebted to Paula for passing on her beauty through the generations, resulting in two amazing grandchildren for usâ€¦Jacob Dylan and Clayton Ashton Trevino. 

Wish we could be there to celebrate grandma's life with all of you in Texas. Please know that our hearts and love are there with you.

"Crawl into bed and tell her Pa Mage and Ma Lina stories"  I emailed Mary Lu onceâ€¦when she would tell me how she would take care of you during the nightâ€¦.hoping that you would get restâ€¦and  she was worried about you.  Tia Paulita, I know all the Berrelez siblings have so many "Pa Mage and Ma Lina" storiesâ€¦and they have shared those with all their childrenâ€¦â€¦so  generations to come can hear about the wonderful and caring Berrelez family.   Not only the stories about the â€œRanchoâ€ in Texasâ€¦but stories about the sisters and brothers growing up.  I hope the discipline, great love, and wonderful laughter PaMage and Malina gave to all of their siblings will also be handed down for generations to come.  Definitely the â€˜cousinsâ€™ inherited this trait, as there is not one of us that isnâ€™t always full of laughter. â€¦it doesnâ€™t matter if we see each other often or not...the loud laughter and giggling goes on when we do meet again (right Mary lu?)...   My momâ€™s own words after hearing of your passing Tia was not only sadness and giving you a blessing that you were in your "Gloria" ...she also said,  â€œshe took care of all of us...she worked so hard all the time, she helped Pa Mage so much with the Rancho.â€  I am so glad my mom will always remember that.. Oh Tia Paulita, it is so hard to think you have left us; although we know it is for a restful and promising place. One of my clearest memories is of the times, after Mary Lou and Daniel were married, that all of us would pile into Dan's van and go eat Lockhart bbque.  Both Mr and Mrs Trevino would go with my family, and we would have a blast.  We always stopped at a little convenience store and bought ice cream for the trip home.  All we did was laugh the whole time they were with us.  I am going to miss her jokes and laughter.  She knew how to liven up a gathering!
