Paul Feinstein died unexpectedly on January 3, 2012 in Houston, Texas. He was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, on March 27, 1942 to Cecile Richey and Paul Feinstein. After graduating with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University in 1964, he began his 34-year career with IBM, first in Lexington, Kentucky, and then in Austin, Texas. He also worked for FMC Technologies in Houston.
He married Jane Elizabeth Archer on January 1, 1983. Together they raised a wonderful family: David Scott, Paul Webster, and Sarah Jane Feinstein. Always a family man, Paul coached sports for his children, was active in the Spicewood, Canyon Vista, and Westwood High School PTAs, and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Austin. He loved his family and friends, fishing, and Clemson sports.
Predeceased by his parents and his sister Paulette Lomax, he leaves behind to mourn his sudden passing his beloved family—Jane, David (Jessica and grandson Ethan), Paul, and Sarah; his brother David Ray; his Stubbs family—Jo and Mike Barnes, William Stubbs, Steven Stubbs; his Archer family—Elton Archer, Jr. and Dr. Glenn Archer—and a host of other relatives. Paul had scores of friends, who will fondly remember his humor and grace when facing the challenges of life.
