He is preceded in death by his father, John. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Catherine; his two daughters, Emily and Mary; his mother, Gloria; his brother, Mike, his wife, Jan, and their children, Sean, Ethan and Grace; his sister Sharon, and her children, Brandon, Shannon and Elizabeth.
Patrick grew up in New Braunfels, where he graduated from Canyon High School and served as President of his senior class. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin American Studies. He was a member of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, where he held several leadership positions. Patrick obtained a master's degree in Project Management from George Washington University.
Patrick enjoyed a16-year tenure with Hewlett-Packard, leading many services projects for the company. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was dedicated to helping others, specifically working with charities to benefit the homeless. His love for animals was obvious to all. Patrick enjoyed travelling, visiting multiple countries within Africa, the Americas (favorites included Costa Rica and Brazil), Australia, and Europe. When at home, he enjoyed gardening and UT sports.
Patrick's family and friends will always be blessed with the many memories of the time shared with him.
A visitation was held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home in Austin. A rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2013 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Austin, and a Funeral Mass will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Msgr. Bill Brooks officiating.
Pallbearers are Sean Manley, Ethan Manley, Brandon Long, Shannon Long, Israel Hernandez, and Aaron Suder.
