Pat was a graduate of Westlake High School, 1979, Stephen F. Austin State University, 1983, and was employed with TxDot for over 20 years. She was a member of the Girl Scouts of America and Texas Outdoor Women's Network.
She loved animals, swimming, travel, gardening and watching football.
Pat was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lena and Charlie Rieger and Minnie and Otto Bittner; and her father, James E. Bittner. Survivors include her mother, Nelda V. Rieger Torres of Bastrop; step-father, R. E. Torres of Bastrop; and sister, Janice M. Bittner of Austin. Other survivors include Charles and Leona Rieger of Round Rock; Diann and Lester Wilhelm of Temple and numerous other relatives.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home on North Lamar in Austin. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 13th in the Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
