Pansy Green Wilson, age 95, of Austin, Texas passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2008. She was born, Saturday, January 25, 1913 in Clarksville, Texas to Tom G. Tipping and Alma Morse Tipping. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Otis Green and Albert Wilson. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Peterson; her sister, Dorothy Innerarity of Austin; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. After completing public school in Clarksville, she graduated from East Texas State Teachers College in Commerce, Texas with a BS degree in 1944 and a MS degree in 1950. For 38 years she was a school teacher in Red River County and Tyler, Texas. She was President of the Association of Childhood Education (ACE) and a member of Classroom Teachers Assoc. She has been a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Teachers Sorority since 1957 and in 1982 received the Sorority Silver Sister Certificate. In 2007, she received the 50 year pin. She retired from teaching in 1970. Pansy was a member of Central Christian Church, Austin and a member of the church Board for a number of years. She was also a Christian Women's Fellowship Chairman and Sunday School worker. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 21st at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2008 in the Weed-Corley Fish Chapel. Burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
