Noel Norman Farrer

He graduated Austin High School 1947. Noel was trained by his father as a mechanic and water well driller. He retired from NCR with 43 yrs of dedicated service.

Noel was an outdoorsman and longtime member of Texas Muzzle Loading Club. Noel was a huge sports fan, vocal and engaged, watching football and baseball, and cheering for his UT Longhorns.

Friends and family refer to Noel as “Special”, and he was. Loving, dependable, patient, honest, compassionate: he offered these qualities to all that knew him.

Noel follows in death his parents, Roy A and Carlene Farrer, sister Lois P Farrell, brothers RA Farrer and Donald Farrer, and his grandson Darren W. Wright.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 65 years, Marjorie, daughters Nancy L. Farrer (Reynaldo Cortez), Cheryl Wright (Fred), Rosemary Farrer (Jenni Koopman), grandson Mitchell Wright, and his brother Carl Farrer.

Noel appreciated the support and kindness of Lois & Jimmy Hess, nieces and nephews, his Crestview neighbors, McDonald’s coffee group, and KLCC family.

We know he is with his extended family and will be with us in spirit. He is loved.

Family and friends are invited to informal memorial gathering on Sat. July 30 @ 11am at Koenig Lane Christian Church.
