Nancy Woodruff McCann

Nancy Lee Woodruff McCann of Austin, Texas died suddenly of natural causes at the age of 70 on October 26, 2015. She was born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey to Ethel Dumont Kellinger Woodruff and Alson Eugene Woodruff.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert Bruce McCann. She leaves behind her daughters, Katherine Barbara McCann White and Elizabeth Dorothy McCann Bromley, both of Austin, Texas, and grandchildren Cameron Bromley, Brandon Bromley, Avery Elizabeth White, and Connor William White. She is preceded in death by her mother, her father, and her sister, Barbara Woodruff Heaps.

Visitation will be held at the Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home North at 3125 North Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Oct. 30, 2015. A memorial service will be held at St. Luke's on the Lake Episcopal Church at 5600 RR 620 North, Austin, Texas at 2:00 PM on Oct. 31, 2015.

A musician's musician and a passionate and faithful performer, parishioner, wife, mother, and friend, the last words she sang on this earth were: "Blest are they that perish who trust the Lord at death's hour." Now her beautiful voice rings out in the heavenly choir, which has never known such a joyful sound, nor such a luminous spirit.
