Milton Tucker Milton Tucker, age 92, of Austin, died Tuesday January 13, 2004. He was born October 31, 1911, in Wilburn, Arkansas, the third of six children born to Rufus Monroe and Mary Belle Tucker. Milton lived most of his adult life in Austin. He was part owner and founder of Modern Butane Gas Co. He was a long time active member of Hyde Park Baptist Church where he also served as a deacon. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Donnie Mae, and his wife of 30 years, Essie Lee. One son, Curt Lambert, one daughter, Wanda Hinshaw, one brother and one sister also preceded him in death. Survivors include: sons; Jimmy Tucker and wife Vonceil of Kerrville, Ron Tucker and wife Tonya of Cedar Creek, Glynn Lambert and wife Beverly of Pflugerville; daughters; Barbara Weiss and husband Gerald of Austin, Shirley Cowan and husband L.B. of Pflugerville. He is also survived by two brothers, one sister, sixteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Rick Tucker, Mike Weiss, Brett Weiss, Carl Dean, Rick Lambert, and great-grandson, Phillip Allen. Visitation will be held from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 14th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 15th at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel with the Reverend Joe T. Carrell officiating.
