Because her Father was a Highway Patrolman for the State of Texas and often moved around for his job, Mildred enjoyed living in many areas of West Texas during her youth. Mildred graduated high school from Junction High School and continued her education at Angelo State University, where she attended on a tennis scholarship and received an Associate’s Degree. It was during her time in San Angelo that she met her husband, Walter Foxworth. After a short time of courting, Mildred and Walter were married on June 10, 1950, and decided to take up residence in San Angelo, Texas. They later moved to Austin after Walter got out of the Marines. Eleven years after marrying, they had a daughter; Carol Ann. Mildred worked for 37 years at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin in the radiology department. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, shopping, telling stories, reading books and spending time with her family.
Mildred is preceded in death by her Father, John Philippus; and her mother, Lydia Tieken Philippus.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Walter Foxworth; her daughter, Carol Hall, and her husband, Wade, of Pflugerville; her grandchildren, Lindsay Mullins, and her husband, Matthew, of Hutto, and Stacey Hall of Houston; many cousins.
