Mike Mericle

Mike was married to “the love of my life and the girl of my dreams,” Claudia Clotiaux, on August 3, 1968.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Mericle, Jr. and Dorothy Nell Mericle Shaver.

Mike is survived by his wife Claudia, son Joseph Michael Mericle, Jr. (wife Karen), daughter Keri Anne Mericle Rasberry (husband Justin), and brother, James Parlin Mericle (wife Clara), and grandchildren, Duncan and Luke Mericle, Jordan McDaniel, Hope “E”, Jacob, and Kendall Rasberry.

In March 1992 Mike responded to God and believed in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Since then Mike followed Jesus and got and kept his commitments in the right order: God, Claudia, family, and work.

Mike believed in taking care of his body, God’s temple, and always exercised and was an avid cyclist until 2019.

Mike’s heartbeat was to spread the Word of God around the world and loved Romans 10:13-15, “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

Claudia and their family appreciate your love and request that you continue to pray for God’s comfort and God’s will for their family in the coming days and years.

Burial will be Cook Walden Capitol Parks Cemetery, 14501 N Interstate Hwy 35, Pflugerville, TX.

A visitation for Joseph will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Great Hills Baptist Church, 10500 Jollyville Road, Austin, TX 78759, followed by a funeral service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
