Michael was born on 08/23/1957 in Rochester, MN. He was the son of Duane G. and Delores A. Anderson.
Michael grew up in Rochester, MN, and graduated from Mayo High School in 1976. Michael learned how to weld in his late teenage years and welding became his career. He had a passion for dirt bikes, and street motorcycles as well. He raced motocross in his late teens and early 20s around Minnesota. He enjoyed hunting, and fishing and enjoyed Nascar races and NHRA drag races as well. He loved music, basically old classic rock and roll, and would go to concerts when time allowed him to go. Michael moved to Austin, TX in his early 20’s, he also lived in Daytona Beach, and Orlando, FL, and in Tulsa, OK, and Phoenix, AZ, but always ended up back in Texas. He worked at Howard Systems in Austin for many years. Michael was a kind and caring person and loved his family and spending time with them when time allowed him to.
Michael Anderson is proceeded in death by his father Duane G. Anderson, his mother Delores A. Anderson, his brother Randy L. Anderson and his grandparents Erie Anderson, Verna Anderson Stuhr, and Bernice Hanson
Michael is survived by his brother Bruce Anderson and his sister Cindy Anderson Ryan. Michael has 2 nephews, Curt Anderson, Jesse Mize, and 3 nieces Angela Anderson Davis, Jenny Anderson, and Cori Mize. He also had 4 great-nephews and 2 great nieces.
A visitation for Michael will be held Monday, November 21, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749, with a funeral service to follow. The graveside service will be conducted on Monday, November 21, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park with a reception to follow.
