She was born on September 15, 1965, in Cotulla, Texas, the beloved daughter of Ofelia and Robert Perez, Jr. Melissa grew up in College Station, Texas, and graduated from Texas A&M in 1987 with a BS in Computer Science. She resided in Austin for over 30 years, spending her entire career in the tech industry.
Melissa is preceded in death by her father, Robert, and is survived by her mother, Ofelia. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Guy and Monica Perez of Katy, Texas, and their three daughters, Kathryn, Lauryn, and Madelyn.
She will be deeply missed by all of us who knew and loved her. Melissa was a loving and compassionate daughter, sister and friend who touched the lives of many. Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed.
Visitation will start at 6:45pm on Thursday - January 5th, followed by recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday - January 6th at 12pm, followed by a reception at the Parish Hall. All services will be held at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church, 7601 Burnet Rd, Austin, Texas.
Rite of Committal will be at 3:30pm at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock in Austin, Texas. Pallbearers are Dr. Tom Brown, Ted Crisp, Bennie Maldonado, Deacon Mark Molchen, Byron Todd, and Bobby Vernengo.
