Maxine Goldman, age 89, of Austin died March 09, 2015. Maxine was born in St. Louis, graduating from Soldan High School, where she met the love of her life, Neilson Goldman. Maxine and Neil recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
Maxine's great interest was in volunteering, and proudly received recognition as Volunteer of the Year in St. Louis. While living in Dallas, she dedicated herself to the Auxiliary of the Jewish War Veterans as well as the international organization, ORT, in which she rose to the highest leadership positions. In her later years in Austin, she was an active member of Temple Beth Shalom.
In addition to her husband, Neilson, she is survived by her son Larry Goldman (Mimi), and daughters Nancy Wolf (Russ Apfel), and Cathy Burns (Larry), as well as fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
