Mavis Bible, age 86, of Brownwood, Texas passed away on Monday, May 12, 2008. She was born on August 17, 1921 to William and Allene Lula Jones in Austin, Texas. She attended Austin High School, Nixon Clay College, and Durham Business College. She worked ten years for Wesley Pearson as Office Manager Kragen Stores for six years as office manager. Then lastly Veterans Administration for 15 years as Budget Analyst and retired from there. Mavis loved to play cards and dominoes, bridge being her forte. She loved fishing and hunting and enjoyed working in the yard. She loved her family very much. She is survived by her children, Richard and Vicki House of Goldthwaite; Carlotta Diana Morris of The Woodlands; step-son, Rickie Bible of Kyle; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 16, 2008 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Capital Parks in Pflugerville, Texas.
