Matthew was born on October 7, 1986 in Austin, Texas, and grew up in Round Rock, Texas. A veteran of the United States Army, he served with distinction in Georgia, New York, Iraq, and Germany. During his military career, he earned numerous honors, including three Army Commendation Medals and the Iraq Campaign Medal with a campaign star. Following his service, Matthew dedicated 11 years to working for the Department of Defense in Fort Worth, Texas; Fort Cavazos, Texas; and Grafenwoehr, Germany.
Matthew was a man of many passions and talents. He was an exceptional artist with a vivid imagination that extended into his love for LEGO, Zelda, Dungeons & Dragons, anime, video games, and fantasy. His adventurous spirit led him to enjoy hiking and traveling with his family. His colorful taste in music and zest for life left an indelible mark on those who knew him. His sharp wit, infectious humor, and adventurous spirit brought joy to those around him.
Above all else, Matthew cherished his role as a father. He found immense pride and purpose in his children—Avery (“First Born”), Zoe (“Choopin” or “Nemo”), and Ryan (“Chingus”). He was the playful dad who filled their days with laughter and love, creating cherished memories through belly laughs and imaginative play. His children were his greatest accomplishment and the center of his world.
Matthew is survived by his loving wife, Bailey Nobles; their three children, Avery, Zoe, and Ryan; his brother, Sean Nobles; his father, Teddy Nobles; and countless loved ones who will forever treasure his memory. Matthew is preceded by his mother, Kim Nobles.
A visitation for Matthew will be held Monday, January 20, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Weed Corley Fish North Chapel, 5416 Parkcrest Drive, Austin, Texas 78731.
