Mary Marie Robinson, age 90, passed away on April 22, 2021. She was born March 5, 1931, in Plainview, TX, to parents Oliver and Marie Bier. She married Richard Irvine (Dick) Robinson on Dec 27, 1951. Mary Marie graduated from Texas Tech University in 1952 with a BS in Home Economics Education. While her husband’s work with Phillips Petroleum involved several moves, she taught in elementary schools for 18 years in Texas and Oklahoma. They traveled extensively for the company and with their children. After Dick’s retirement in 1992, they lived in Kansas City, KS, before moving to Georgetown, TX, in 2001. Mary Marie has resided in Longhorn Village in Austin, TX, from 2009 until she passed away. She was a long-time member of the Methodist Church and active in many community activities while caring for her family.
Mary Marie was predeceased by her parents and husband. She is survived by their children: son Dr. John R. Robinson and wife, Sue; son Richard M. Robinson and wife, Alyson; and daughter Mary Kay Robinson. She is also survived by grandchildren: Tanner Robinson, Katie Robinson Castro, and Julianna Robinson; Caroline Robinson and Evan Robinson; and Garrett Knoll, Austin Knoll, Connor Robinson, and Logan Knoll. She is also survived by great grandchildren Ollie Robinson, Owen Robinson, Willa Robinson, and Welles Robinson; Stella Castro and Lucy Castro.
A graveside burial service will be held with only family on April 26, 2021, at the Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery located at 14501 N Interstate Hwy 35, Pflugerville, TX. Memorial gifts can be given to your preferred charity.
