Mary Stahl Retke

Mary (Stahl) Retke, age 90, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2018, in Austin, TX.

She was born February 20, 1928, to Jacob & Susan Stahl in Huron, SD.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Don Retke, and son, Todd Retke. Mary was an outstanding athlete at Huron High School, and worked for Braniff Airlines before raising two boys in Libertyville, IL. After her husband’s death, Mary moved to Texas.

She is survived by her son, Neal Retke (Janet) of Toronto, ONT, Canada, granddaughter Amber Retke of Chicago, and cousin/best friend Connie Harris (Dean) of Austin, TX.

At Mary’s request there will be no service. Mary’s cremains will be escorted to Ft. Sheridan Cemetery in Lake Bluff, IL, by her nephew Jerry Stahl, where she will be interred with her husband Don.
