Mary Ellen Damuth

Mary Ellen Damuth age 87 of Austin, went to be with the Lord on October 24, 2011. She was born in Tamana, Texas to Winnie and Maude Anderson on July 19, 1924. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and 3 sisters. Mary was a loving and devoted wife for 66 years to John S Damuth, Jr. they were married on November 14, 1942. She was a loving mother to her three children, Sam, Larry and Patricia. She is survived by her children, Sam Damuth, Larry & Carey Damuth, Marvin & Patricia Shelton; 6 Grandchildren; 4 Great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was a bright and shining example of God's love and how a true Christian should act and live. Always active in any church that she belonged to and loved to teach others of God's love. She loved fishing, gardening and backyard birds. Hummingbirds and Redbirds were her favorites.

A very special thanks go out to all the wonderful people at Heart to Heart Hospice of Austin. You all have been such a blessing and comfort to our entire family.

Visitation will be at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home at 3125 North Lamar, Austin, Texas at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2011 also at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Burial service will be held at the Mostyn-Damuth family cemetery on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. on the prairie near Magnolia, Texas.
