Mary leaves behind three sons, Dominick, Jr. (age 70) and wife Nancy of Austin, TX, William (67) and his wife Emily of Marietta, GA, and Christopher (64), and his wife Jean of Robbinsville, NJ.
Born in New York City to Italian immigrants, Mary (nee Margiotta) married and spent much of her adult life bringing up her family in Sayreville, N.J., while often working outside the home to help support their household. She enjoyed dancing with her husband, Dominick (known as Nick) before he passed in 2001, often warmly recalling their early rooftop dates in NYC in the 1940s. Not able to finish high school or attend college herself, Mary had worked her way up to the Bond Desk at The Bank of New York, from which she eventually retired. She was the driving force behind each of her children attending college and securing graduate degrees.
As an avid lover of plants and flowers, and an expert in nutrition and great cooking, Mary always enjoyed spending time with her growing family of ten grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Upon her relocation to Lakeway, Texas at age 84, Mary made many friends, became a communing member of Emmaus Catholic Church, and devoted time to working in the Thrift Store of her church. She will be forever remembered for her sacrifice, her persistence, her tireless work ethic and most of all, her abounding love of family.
