Martha Jane Arthur Green, age 92, passed away on March 26, 2025, in Round Rock, Texas. She is survived by her daughter Debbie Ligon and husband Ronny of Georgetown, Texas, her son Ron Green and wife Trish of Hamilton, Texas, Stepdaughter Ruenette Starr and husband Clayton of Crockett, Texas. Known as “Granny” to the following, she is also survived by Grandchildren Daniel Ligon (Bethany), Rachelle Starr, Ladd Mokry, Jonathan Starr, Steve Starr, Stan Starr, Joshlynn Stubblefield, Michael Culler and Kyle Culler. Great grandchildren Skyler Jane Ligon, Kasen John Ligon, Jimmy Starr, Brian Starr, Sydney Starr, Jonathan Starr, Jr., Ethan Starr, Aiden Starr, Gabe Starr, Alex Starr, Lorelei Starr, Susie Starr, Seth Hoppas and Conor Briscoe as well as many nieces and nephews. Martha is also survived by her sister Carolyn Ivy of Fairfield, Texas.
Martha is preceded in death by her husband Roy Green, her parents Cecil Arthur and Ruth Arthur, her sisters Mozelle Cooper, Neva Skrabanek, Sylvia Glimp and brother Robert Arthur, as well as many half brothers and sisters.
Martha was born on September 2, 1932, in West, Texas. When she was 13 her family moved to Rosebud, Texas. She graduated from Rosebud High School in 1950. After graduation, Martha enlisted in the Women’s Army Corps, serving three years during the Korean War. She was stationed at Fort Dix, Fort Ord and The Presidio. In 1953 Martha moved to Austin where she met and married Roy Green. They were married from 1954 until his death in 2002. In 1961 Martha went to work for the Carnation milk company as a secretary. In 1966, she began working for the State of Texas MHMR at The Austin State School where she worked until her retirement in 1996.
Martha and Roy had many hobbies over the years, rock collecting with The Austin Gem and Mineral Society, camping and motorcycles. They were founding members of the Austin Road Riders Association. With the Road Riders, they had many adventures traveling and seeing the country on a motorcycle. Many lifelong friends were made with the club.
After retiring, Martha, Roy and her sister Neva moved to Fredericksburg, Texas then Kerrville, where they all enjoyed travelling around Texas and the world with her brother and sisters, socializing with many friends, the Episcopal Church, and dinners out.
In 2017 Martha moved to Round Rock to be closer to family along with her sister Neva. In 2020 Martha moved to the Court at Round Rock and lived there until her passing.
The family wishes to thank The Court at Round Rock and Divinity Hospice for all their care, love and compassion in caring for her.

A visitation is scheduled for Thursday April 3 at 1:00pm at Cook-Walden, 6100 N Lamar Blvd, Austin TX 78752. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00pm at Cook-Walden with burial to follow at Capital Memorial Park 14501 N IH 35 in Pflugerville.
