Marjorie Pearl Morrow was born in DeRidder, Louisiana, in 1922. She married US Army Air Corp Lt. Winton Spencer Youngblood, also from DeRidder, in 1941. They spent 28 busy years in the USAF living in California, Nebraska, Florida, South Dakota, Maine, Germany, Georgia, Louisiana, the Philippines and of course, Texas. Marjorie and Win retired to Louisiana in 1967 and then moved to Cibolo, Texas, in 1985.
Win died in 1992 and Marjorie moved to San Antonio soon thereafter. She later moved to Corpus Christi and finally moved to Austin in 2010 where she lived at Westminster Manor. She enjoyed her final years with her many friends at Westminster.
All of Marjorie's siblings preceded her in death: Gordon, Rachael, Don, Virginia, Chester and Beryl. She is survived by her sons: Spencer and his wife Janice Youngblood of Fredericksburg, Texas and Robert and his wife Pamela Youngblood of Coldspring, Texas.
She also is survived by five grandsons: Wes and his wife Lisa Youngblood of Austin, Ryan and his wife Shelia Youngblood of Austin, Jon and his wife Traci Youngblood of Puyallup, Washington, Jason Youngblood of Hitchcock, Texas and Jamie and his wife Rachael Youngblood of Seattle, Washington.
Marjorie also was lucky enough to know her 10 great grandchildren: Natalie, Kirby, Reese, Lauren, Tawni, Samantha, David, Raine, Tatiana, and Gabriella.
Marjorie will be buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio on Monday, June 13 at 11 a.m., joining her husband, Win. Father Peter McKenna will be presiding.
