Marjorie Wright Mueller

1925-2010

Marjorie Wright Mueller, born on November 23, 1925, in Ithaca, NY, passed away after an illness on September 16, 2010. The daughter of Jean Olive Errington and Chilton Austin Wright attended schools in Washington, DC and Bellerose, NY and graduated from Cornell University in the Class of 1948.

She married Robert Franklin Mueller of Middletown, NY on June 9, 1948 in Ithaca, NY and during their life together they resided in Cleveland, OH; Levittown, PA; and Clermont, FL. While raising their children in Levittown, Marge coached both speed and synchronized swimming teams in Levittown, PA; Langhorne, PA; and Trenton, NJ. She also taught various bridge classes and led water aerobics groups.

After retirement, Marge and Bob traveled full time throughout all 50 states and all of Canada until they moved to Clermont, FL and restricted their travels to the summer months. Marge later moved to Ashwood Retirement and Assisted Living in Austin, TX and maintained her residence in Clermont, FL. She experienced wonderful friendships, many games (Skipbo, Dominos, Bingo, Bridge, etc.), and did what she wanted when she wanted.

Marge was predeceased by her husband, Robert, and son, David. She is survived by her children Lyn, Kay, Robin, Donna, and Paul, and grandchildren Steve, Roxanne, Janna, Jen, Kyle, Ashley, and Austin. She is also survived by her sister, Betty-Jean, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A Celebration of Marge’s life will be held on September 21, 2010 at 1:00 pm (some family members will be available until 4:00 pm for visiting) at Ashwood Retirement and Assisted Living 12151 Hunters Chase Drive, Austin, TX 78729, (512) 336-4100. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Harbor Hospice, Ashwood Assisted Living, or the charity of your choice.
