Marilyn T Roberts

After graduating from Beaumont high school, Bebe attended Lamar University before graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in zoology. She later returned to the University of Texas where she earned an education degree and began a 30 year teaching career at her beloved St Andrew’s Elementary where she taught 4th grade.

Since she was a child, she enjoyed the outdoors. She and Jerry regularly visited close friends in Ozona, TX, where she killed a deer and learned to handle a shotgun. She was crowned Ladies State Bass Champion in 1963.

An avid sports fan, she and Jerry held season tickets to University of Texas football, basketball and baseball for decades. She continued attending games well into her 80’s.

She is survived by her son Mark and his wife Carrie of San Antonio, her brother John Thompson and his wife Lorraine, and her nephew John and his wife Diane.

A graveside service for Marilyn will be held Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, 2800 Hancock Dr, Austin, TX 78731.
