She was preceded in death by her parents Tofie and Frances Hello; brothers Lee, Bill, Mike and sister Margaret Hello; also by her grandson SSgt Wayne Porter (USA).She is survived by her 9 children, 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Marian worked for MHMR for 25 years. She worked tirelessly as an advocate for the disabled, achieving many awards and recognitions for her service. She was on a committee for the disabled under the Jimmy Carter administration and in 1978 she was named Woman of the Year. After retirement she helped in many ministries in her church.
Mother, Mom, Mama, Grandma, Tieta. We will miss you.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 18, from 6-7 with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 at Our Lady’s Maronite Catholic Church. A Mass will be held on Friday at 12:00 Friday, August 19, 2016.
Per her request she will be cremated and laid to rest with her parents at Mt Calvary Cemetery, in a private ceremony. Pallbearers are John Crowder, Mark Medlin, John Robert Romero, Sgt Danielle Romero (USA), Richard Romero Jr and Antonio Romero.
The family would like to thank Velma Smith, Marian’s home care companion for her care and friendship. Also we would like to thank Dr. Adam Barta for his friendship and loving care.
