Margaret Riley Crocker was born August 1, 1927 in Myrtle Springs, Texas. She died on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 surrounded by her loving husband, Ralph Harrison Crocker and family; children - Stephen Leonard Crocker, Paul Riley Crocker, Ralph Harrison Crocker Ill, and Amelia Crocker Irsik.
Margaret was preceded in death by infant son, Stephen Harrison Crocker; parents, Andrew Jackson Riley and Mattie Durell Riley; brother, Jack Howell Riley. She was a loving and proud grandparent of Clinton Andrew Crocker, William Tyler Crocker, Audrey Hannah Crocker, Meredith Elayne Crocker, Riley William Crocker, Zachary Lawrence Irsik, Kathryn Nicole Irsik, and Matthew Harrison Irsik.
Margaret was a teacher representing the fifth generation in her maternal line. She spent most of her adult years as a loving wife and mother, and was well respected in her later teaching career as an educator working with dyslexic children at the Highland Park Mediative School. She had many friends there and loved her work with young children, and her association with fellow teachers.
Ralph and Margaret recently celebrated their sixty fourth wedding anniversary in Austin.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd.
Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 7, 2016 at the St. Therese Catholic Church; located at 14786 FM 859 in Canton, Texas. Burial immediately following at the Haven of Memories Memorial Park; entrance from Hwy. 64 in Canton.
