He served in the United States Air Force. He worked as an electrical engineer and test engineer at IBM, and was happy to retire after 30 years. Lynn then owned and operated Command Hobbies. After several years, he sold the business and retired into a life of love, family, wood carving, domino making, plastic parts designing, Starbuck coffee drinking, video games, honey-dos, and watching his son play baseball and his daughter, soccer.
Lynn is survived by his wife, Pam Keeler; son, Travis Brumley and daughter, Melissa Brumley, all of Austin; son, Curtis Brumley and wife Mary Jo Sibley of Rochester, Minnesota; Curtis’ mother, Martha Brumley; brothers, Boyd Brumley of Eugene, Oregon and Gary Brumley and his wife Diana of Kenai, Alaska. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Alexandra, Mackenzie, and Reuel of Rochester, Minnesota. In addition, he is survived by his beloved cousins, Pat McClure and Duane Starnes of Sunnyvale, California. Also surviving are Tommy Starnes of Sacramento, California, Gerald Starnes of Chealis, Washington, Paul Starnes of Corning, California, and Orville and Harriett Christeson of Vancouver, Washington, and other extended family members.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, with a gathering and reception with the family to follow.
