Lydia W. Trevino 92, of Austin, Texas died January 8, 2013 with her family by her side. She was born on December 14, 1920 in Laredo, Texas to Bessie and Henry Julian. She grew up in Austin surrounded by her one sister and seven brothers.
Lydia was a long time Austin resident and retired from the State of Texas after working within the healthcare system for many years. She was a lifelong member of the San Jose Catholic Church in Austin. An avid gardener, she loved nothing more than working in her yard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose M. Trevino; son, Henry Trevino; brother, Andrew Julian.
Lydia is survived by six brothers, Tony, Henry Jr., Charles, Frankie, Vincent and Rudy Julian all of Houston, Texas; one sister, Alice Lorraine Garza of Austin, Texas; two daughters and two sons, Stella Trevino, Jose F. Trevino and spouse Modesta, Rudolph Trevino, Betty Trevino-Cardona and spouse Carlos; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Friday, January 11, 2013 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm. Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at San Jose Catholic Church, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
