Lucille S. McDougald, 87, of Austin passed away December 8, 2011 in Austin, Texas. She was born May 17, 1924 in Livingston, Texas to Atma and Lena (Peters) Stanford. She was raised in Onalaska, Texas on the family farm.
Lucille married Wiley D. McDougald on December 9, 1949 in Huntsville, Texas. He preceded her in death in 2002. She was a faithful member of the former Windsor Park Baptist Church and for the last 20 years has been a member of First Baptist Church in Pflugerville.
In the last few years she loved shopping and was a loyal viewer of QVC. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother, Bill Stanford.
She is survived by 2 sons, Curtis McDougald and his wife, Cheryl, of New Braunfels and Craig McDougald of Austin; 1 daughter, Carrie Roberts and her husband, Mark, of San Antonio; 3 grandchildren, Christy Austin, Audrey Eggleston and Andrea Wilkes; 3 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Bright Star Home Health and Resolutions Hospice for the loving care of their staff.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, on Monday, the 12th of December 2011, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
Graveside services will be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 13th of December 2011, at Cook-Walden Capital Parks, Pflugerville, Texas under the direction of Cook-Walden Funeral Home.
