Louise married Zebulon L. Kemp on June 27, 1947. Many happy years were shared in their home in Manor, Texas, where Papa Kemp worked for the United States Post Office. Louise was devoted to those she loved and to her Savior Jesus Christ. She lived an abundant life, loving God and serving Him through her faithful commitment to Eternal Faith Baptist Church in Manor. She also enjoyed many good times in her commitment to the Eastern Star Association. Her many friendships in the Manor community and in her church family were a great blessing in her life. She will be remembered for her friendly loving ways and her display of faith, hope and love through the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
Papa Kemp’s death on August 21, 1994 at ninety-eight years of age, ended forty-seven happy years of marriage. Louise again found happiness in her marriage to Frank S. Phillips on December 1, 1996. They enjoyed sharing their love until his death on February 29, 2004.
Many friends and fellow believers in Christ will miss her sweet smile and loving manner. Louise enjoyed visiting and encouraging others, while looking forward to seeing her best friend, Jesus Christ, in heaven. He prepared a home, a beautiful mansion, for her to live in for eternity. She longed to be in Heaven and now resides in a peaceful place in Glory.
