Loretta was a longtime resident of Cedar Park, Texas. She enjoyed watching the birds, crossword puzzles, and Sunday family dinners. There was not a person Loretta didn’t touch for the better. She was very generous, kind, and wanted everyone around her to experience joy. She cared deeply for her family and caregivers. She wanted to make the world a better place for everyone in it and hated to see anyone in pain or suffering. She was compassionate, she loved unconditionally, and she served those around her well.
Loretta was preceded in death by her husband Watson Combs, her father William Lehman, her sister Bertha Lehman, her mother Anna Stahl Lehman, and her brother John Lehman. Loretta is survived by her daughter Annamarie (Missy) Combs-Peters and her husband Kenneth Peters, granddaughter Britni Vaughn and her husband Hunter Vaughn, granddaughter Brianna Gillis and her husband Austin Gillis. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Zoe, Levi, Moxon, Kyler, Hazel, and Baker. Loretta loved her family dearly and will always be remembered as a caring and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Loretta will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. In lieu of flowers, Loretta’s family requests a donation in her memory to Guiding Eyes for the Blind or Meals on Wheels - Opportunities for Williamson & Burnet Counties.
The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice as well as Right at Home for the respectful care they provided to Loretta in her final journey home.
“But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last. And after my body has decayed, yet in my body I will see God! I will see him for myself. Yes, I will see him with my own eyes. I am overwhelmed at the thought!” Job 19:25-27
