Loretta Lyon Berdoll

Loretta Lyon Berdoll, age 64, of Cedar Creek, passed away September 21, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. She was at home with her husband and children at her side. Loretta grew up in Austin. She met Dan Berdoll and they married March 22, 1963. Dan and Loretta worked side by side for the past 45 years. She enjoyed keeping the books for the family businesses which included rental properties, farming, and ranching. Her labor of love was working in the pecan orchards. Loretta loved her family. She was preceded in death by her father, C. A. Lyon. Loretta is survived by her husband, Dan; her sons, Keith Berdoll and his wife Lori of Bastrop, Chris Berdoll of Moscow, Idaho; her mother, Aline Lyon of Cedar Creek; her brother, Roy Lyon and his wife Carol also of Cedar Creek; her sister, Mary Hauger and her husband Ralph of Austin; and numerous other family members. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Ave, Austin, Texas 78704. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 24, 2008 in Haynie Chapel Cemetery in Garfield, Texas. The family wishes to thank all the many family and friends that have helped during Loretta's illness.
