Lloyd Calvin Chisholm, age 82, of Cedar Creek, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel E. and Stella J. Chisholm; brother, Harold E. Chisholm and two infant twin sons. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Arlene Chisholm; daughter, Pam Chisholm and husband Skip Morrison; granddaughter, Kaylen Morrison and sister, Eilleen Dixon. Lloyd was a life long resident in the Austin area. He grew up in the Fitzhugh community and later joined the United States Navy. He was a Seaman, First Class on the USS Ashland and the USS Vella Gulf during WWII. He received several campaign medals for his service, including the Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal, 3 Stars, the American Area Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He later joined the Texas Capitol Police Dept. and retired after 23 years of service. He enjoyed his retirement, loved his family and his sports. Visitation will be Sunday, June 11, 2006 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Wilke-Clay Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress Ave., Austin, Texas 78704. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 12, 2006, at Wilke-Clay-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Fitzhugh Cemetery.
