Linda Sue Wilson, of Round Rock, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024, at St. David's in Round Rock, Texas. Born on July 12, 1950, in Moody, Texas, Linda was the beloved daughter of Joseph Owen and Juanita Estelle McKamie. Her life was a testament to love, dedication, and service, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
On April 29, 1970, Linda married Robert L. Wilson Sr., the love of her life. Together, they built a family rooted in love and mutual respect. Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Robert, and their children, Robert L. Wilson Jr., (Maria) and Sara Petty. Her role as a grandmother was one she cherished deeply, and she found immense joy in her grandchildren, Riley Petty, Oliver Wilson, Karli Petty, Jessica and Derek Sampson (Drake & Deklin) Jeremy and Alyssa Borrego (Olivia) and Riyan Dolan.
Linda's professional life was marked by her unwavering dedication and commitment. She retired after 28 years of distinguished service with the State of Texas, where her work ethic and community spirit left a lasting impact on her colleagues and the community. Her career was not just a job but a calling, and she approached it with the same passion and integrity that she brought to all aspects of her life.
Family was the cornerstone of Linda's life. She is also survived by her brother, Johnny McKamie, and sisters, Peggy Murrin, Patsy Cook, and Cynthia Hughes. Her family ties were strong, and she was a source of support and love for her siblings. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Donald, Kenneth, and Joe McKamie, and sisters Faye Fasel and Mary Summers, whose memories she cherished and honored throughout her life.
Linda's life was further enriched by her loyal companion, Mimosa, whose presence brought her comfort and joy. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support were felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Linda's ability to connect with people and her genuine care for others were hallmarks of her personality, making her a beloved figure in her community.
