Linda Russell Howard

Linda Russell Howard entered peacefully into her eternal rest on May 2, 2023. She is survived by her husband Tom, her two children, Jack Howard and Katie Shaw and four grandchildren, Cody Reed, Madison Shaw, Isabella De Geer-Howard and Charlotte De Geer-Howard. Linda was born in Kerrville, Texas on December 31, 1947. After graduating from Tivy High School, she attended the University of St. Thomas, Houston, Texas. After graduating, she taught school before choosing to become a full-time mother and being actively involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Always a devoted Catholic, she spent her life in service to others, especially the poor and less fortunate within her community. She volunteered in various Church ministries and in many charitable organizations. After moving to Austin, she worked for seventeen years at St. Theresa Catholic Church in the liturgy office. She retired in 2017.

A visitation for Linda will be held Friday May 5, 2023 at 4:00 PM followed by a Vigil and Prayer service at 4:30 PM at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Homes, 5416 Parkcrest Drive, Austin, Texas 78731. This Friday, June 16, 2023 funeral mass at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 9500 Neenah Avenue, Austin, Texas 78717 at 10 AM. A reception will be held following the service.
