Lillian Rainbolt

Lillian “Skippy” Rainbolt passed away November 8, 2006. She was born on October 30, 1923, to Louis and Marie Strack in Marlin, Texas. Skippy is survived by her husband Loren (Cy) of 62 years, Austin, TX, daughter Sharon Clark and husband Doug Clark of Brownwood, TX, grandson Colby Clark of Austin, TX, and sisters Dorothy Sanso of Austin and Della Herrin of Bertram. She is also survived by her life long friend, Pauline Waley, Austin, TX. Skippy was employed by the Texas Employment Commission for 33 years. After her retirement, her favorite past time was visiting with friends and family at Skippy and Cy’s lakehouse. She especially enjoyed the companionship and support of her local coffee group. Skippy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. The pride and joy of her life was her grandson, Colby. She loved watching his Westlake and Northwestern University football games. She told everyone about her grandson and always remained Colby’s biggest fan. Skippy’s family is honoring her wishes that there be no service. Skippy requested that everyone who knew and loved her perform a good deed in her memory.
