Lillian Munson McCavick Bruins (1909-2007) Our beautiful Lillian, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2007. Lillian was a warm, loving, and compassionate woman who always saw the best in everyone. She had a knack for making those around her feel adored and special. She took time to tell people how much she loved them, a priceless gift. During a recent visit, she said she felt wrapped in her familys love and that the feeling was just heaven. We know that she is in heaven dancing with the angels now. Lillian was a heroine, saving lives as a nurse. Miz Mac worked at the University of Texas Health Center for 23 years, where she became the Director of Nursing and a dedicated surgical nurse. She later continued her career at Pro-Med, where she worked with her daughter Signe. She treated her patients with the greatest of love. Lillian was preceded in death by her husbands Donald William McCavick and Paul Fastenau Bruins, and by Pauls daughters Barbara Henninges and Ruth Mary Prince. She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Karen and Mills Eaves, Signe and Ron Decker, and Brenda and Lloyd Balch; and by three of Pauls daughters, Cynthia Bruins, Janna Bruins, and Lillian C. Bruins; and nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, August 4, from 3 p.m. to 5p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 North Lamar, Austin, TX 78705. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 5, at 3p.m. at the University United Methodist Church, Harris Chapel, 2409 Guadalupe Street, Austin, TX 78705. Burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
