Leonard Charles Scott was born in Austin, Texas to Maurice Scott, Sr. and Della Sanders Scott on December 18, 1951. He attended various elementary schools, including two Catholic Schools, Fullmore Jr. High, William B. Travis High School, Tyler Jr. College, (Football Scholarship), Austin Community College (Crime Prevention), and Texas State University (Law Enforcement).In His Own Words:“Military Services started after playing 2 years of football. I then traveled to San Francisco and entered the military in 1973 in Daly City, California. My brother-in-law, Chester Williams, a 26 year Navy Vet, directed me into the military. After basic, I went to Military Police school. Then to Fort Hood, Texas, for 2 years as an Accident Investigator. I was then transferred to Korea for 1 year and 6 months as a MP in Korea. I was Honorably Discharged in 1980. In 1980 I started with Travis County Sheriffs Department as a Deputy Sheriff working in Crime Prevention and teaching self defense for the police academy until 1990.”Leonard Married his wife, Myrna Kindred Scott, on Valentines Day, February 14, 1992.Leonard retired from Capital Metro-Special Transit in February 1, 2020.Leonard enjoyed and loved Martial Arts so much that he was always showing Self Defense moves to anyone, anywhere. He leaves in his remembrance: his wife, Myrna Kindred Scott; one brother, Maurice Scott, Jr. (Keisha) of Tukwila, Washington; two sisters, Rosalind Lott of Manor, Texas, and Arleatha Williams of Manor, Texas; two daughters, Adrianne Sears (AL) of Cheasapeake, Virginia, and Tiffany Scott of Dallas, Texas; three sons: Don “Petey” Chambers (Michelle) of Manor, Texas, Marcus A. Brown of Cary, North Carolina, and Eulon “Trey” Brown (Amanda) of San Antonio, Texas; 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
