Lena was born in Stigler, Oklahoma, on October 3, 1932, and eighteen years later, married Jim Lacy. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage before Jim lost his battle with congestive heart failure. Lena loved the outdoors and especially working in the yard.
Lena spent her final day at Sodalis Memory Care in Austin, Texas. She lost her long fought battle with Alzheimer's Disease on a cool spring morning.
Lena was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond Honeycutt and Leon
Honeycutt; and grandson, James Robert Lacy. She is survived by her four children, Kathleen Cooley (David), Mickey Meincke (Howard), Ginny Falcon (Arturo), and Larry Lacy (Terri); six grandchildren, Holly Parker (Mike), Bobby Wiemann (Wendy), Lacy Smith (Zach), Austin Cooley (Robin), Garrett Lacy, and Tara Lacy Budde (August); 9 great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives; and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.,Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with Chaplain John Ratliff officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
