Lee H. Anderson, age 96, passed away in Round Rock on Monday, August 9, 2010. He was born on March 24, 1914 outside of Austin to Esther and Jahart Anderson. Mr. Anderson proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed golfing and fishing, teaching his three granddaughters to fish. He was employed for many years by H.E.B. opening the largest H.E.B. store at Oltorf Street and South Congress which opened on Sunday, September 1, 1957. He was very proud of all the high school students that he had hired and trained. H.E.B. was a very important part of his life.He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years, Golden Anderson on July 26, 2004; his parents, and his two brothers. Lee leaves behind his beloved daughter, Barbara Kay Sanders and Bobby Allison; granddaughters, Kelly Broeker and husband, Buddy of Austin, Texas, Kim Lindner and husband, Dan of El Lago, Texas, Kristi Lofton and husband Scooter of Katy, Texas; 5 great-granddaughters and 1 great-grandson; along with other loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. with Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home in Austin with Reverend Don Long Officiating.
