Laura Rae (Spurr) Carver passed away into Glory on August 11, 2016. Laura was born in Phoenix Arizona to Ray and Laura Spurr. She was a graduate of Phoenix Christian High School and attended Grand Canyon University. Laura became a Christian at 5 years of age and loved and served her Lord all of her life. She was involved in all aspects of Church life: singing solos, singing in the choir, leading children's choirs and teaching preschoolers in Sunday School were just some of the many activities she was involved in over the years.
Laura's career outside of the home always involved sales and she was very good at it. From Photography to managing a kitchen shop to banking to insurance and for the last several years, cosmetics and jewelry.
The joy of her life was being surrounded by her children and later on her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Her passion was entertaining and especially cooking, that literally hundreds experienced.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Jerry, daughter Charity Snyder and husband James, daughter Cami Aurispa and husband Carlos, and son Jay Carver and his wife Jenni. Grandchildren Emma Carver, William Snyder, Raymond Snyder, Arianna Aurispa and Aliyah Aurispa. Also surviving is Father Ray Spurr and wife Lynne, brother Danny Spurr and wife Marilyn, sister Debby Sexton and husband Larry, sister Ellen Schmitz and husband Bob, Uncle Doug Herries, Uncle Bob Spurr and many nieces and nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Spurr.
A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, August 15th at 11 am at Hill Country Bible Church Pflugerville, 303 E. Pflugerville Pkwy, Pflugerville TX 78660.
Flowers may be delivered to the church on Monday morning. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Resource Center, Austin TX.
