Laura Kay Hersom Bobbitt

Laura was a loving daughter, wife and mother. She moved to Austin where she completed her education. She was an avid volunteer at her church and with her community. She loved her politics. Laura never failed to succeed in life’s challenges.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Jack L. Bobbitt, Jr.; daughter, Emily Turner and husband, Matthew; mother, Joyce Hersom; her in-laws, Olivia and Jack Bobbitt, Sr.; family, Linda and Steve Danz and family, Paula and Bob Glynn and family, Blanche and Ski Zabloski and family, Arthur Bobbitt and family, Jeff and Lynne Hersom and family, and Todd and Amelia Hoerner and family.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race,

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church located at 8724 Travis Hills Drive, Austin, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Laura to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
